A police officer in Cedar Park, Texas was killed in a motorcycle accident while on duty.
According to officials, the accident occurred on Arrow Point Road as the man was driving away from a traffic stop nearby. The man hit a curb after he left the incident, causing him to be thrown from the vehicle.
The man was then transported to the hospital to be treated for his injuries, but he was later pronounced dead. The officer was a four year veteran on the Cedar Park Police force.

One woman was injured after a reckless driving accident that occurred when police were involved in a high-speed chase that ended in a two-car crash.
The chase began as police attempted to pull over a man for reckless driving and the 37-year-old man then sped off down Interstate 680. Police officials sent out a message to all agents in the area to look for the car and officers spotted him going 100 mph down the highway a short time later.
Authorities began to chase after him but the man then exited the freeway and attempted to make a right turn off of the roadway when he slammed into an SUV. Both vehicles flipped over on the shoulder and the driver of the second vehicle was trapped inside her car.
The man got out of his car and tried to escape from police on foot but he was caught and taken into custody shortly after. The woman was transported to the hospital where she was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Police in Bruceville-Eddy are investigating a pedestrian accident that killed one person.
Police officials say that a young teenager was walking on southbound I-35 around 9:30 p.m.. when he was struck by a man driving a Pontiac Grand Am. The driver stopped and got out of the vehicle in order to give the victim CPR, but the teen was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency crews.
The victim did not have any I.D. on him and their has been no missing reports filed that match his description so authorities are investigating to find out who he is. The driver has not been charged with anything yet, but he was taken to the hospital for a blood test after the accident. Police are asking anyone for information that will help with their case.

The northbound lanes of I-35 were closed after a fatal truck accident occurred on August 4.
The accident happened after a truck carrying compressed gas cylinders swerved off of the roadway slamming into a tractor- trailer that was parked on the shoulder. The driver of the tractor-trailer was thrown into a ditch and his feet were pinned by the wheels of the trailer.
This driver was transported to hospital by helicopter with serious injuries. The driver of the other truck was killed instantly in the accident and pronounced dead by emergency officials. Rescue crews worked in the area for over two hours.

A woman from Waco was killed and three other woman were injured in a two-car crash on State Highway 31.
The driver of an SUV failed to stop at an intersection on the interstate when they hit another vehicle. There were four people riding in the SUV when the accident occurred.
The driver of the car that was hit was not injured, but one woman in the SUV was pronounced dead on the scene and the three others were transported to the hospital. The identity of the victims has not been released, but the accident remains under investigation at this time.

A two-car accident left a campus police officer for the Waco Independent School District injured.
The accident occurred as the officer was responding to a non-emergency incident on North 18th Street. The man was in his patrol car when it was struck by a Honda Civic.
The police officer was transported to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center for treatment. No one riding in the Honda were injured. Further details of the accident are being investigated and there has been no report that criminal charges have been filed.

A 24-year-old man was sentenced to 99 years in prison after the death of a couple from Irving in a drunk driving accident.
The man is already serving a 30-year sentence for dealing drugs and they sentences will be served consecutively. His first sentence is being done at a federal prison for his involvement in the Mexican Gulf cartel. After this sentence he will be transferred to Texas for the death of the Texas couple.
The accident occurred on Labor Day 2008, the man was pulled over for recklessly driving, the officer told the man to get of the car and when the police officer stepped back, the man turned off his lights and sped off.
The man than ran a red light and crashed into the couple’s vehicle.This sent his vehicle into the air and it landed on another SUV. The couple was killed and five people in the SUV were injured.

A motorcycle accident in Englewood injured the driver and passenger on motorcycle.
The accident occurred on July 9 at the intersection of Quail Runs Blvd and State Road 776 when a 42-year-old man and 38-year-old woman were thrown from the motorcycle after colliding with a Jeep.
The 35-year-old driver of the Jeep was attempting to make a left turn into a driveway when her vehicle was hit by the motorcycle. Officials have said that the driver of the motorcycle tried to stop but was unable to. All three victims were taken to the hospital, two in critical condition and the other in serious condition.

An Arlington man escaped injury after falling asleep while driving on Interstate 20 and running off the road.
According to state patrol, the man fell asleep while driving causing him to swerve through the lanes of traffic and hit a tree on the side of the road. The accident occurred right after the man passed the FM 450 overpass on the highway.
The car was damaged from the collision, but both driver and passenger were able to escape without any serious injury. The man was driving home after purchasing the vehicle. Emergency crews responded to the accident and recovered the damaged vehicle.

A vehicle collided with a Waco police officer’s car after failing to yield while the officer responded to the accident, according to authorities.
The accident occurred at 7:45 p.m. when the officer was driving westbound on Waco Drive and another car that was heading southbound collided with it. The police vehicle was traveling with emergency light and sirens on when it was hit by the Chevy.
Neither of the drivers suffered serious injury in the accident but the driver of the Chevy was charged with Failure to Yield to Right of Way Emergency Vehicle.
