Man killed in speeding traffic accident

A Richardson man was killed in a speeding traffic accident on the North Central Expressway.
The accident occurred at about 4 a.m. as the 38-year-old man was changing lanes to avoid a parked car in the right-hand lane. The impact of the collision threw the man from the motorcycle he was traveling on.
Emergency crews declared the man dead at the scene after they arrived. The man was allegedly traveling 115 mph when the accident occurred. Police have said that no charges were expected to be filed in the crash.
Speeding accidents can cause serious injury to all involved, our thoughts are with the friend and family of the victim.
Police officer injured after chasing speeding car

A Central Texas police officer was injured in an accident after chasing a speeding car and colliding with a parked pickup truck.
The officer was transported to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in Waco with unknown injuries. The accident occurred in Mart on Texas Ave. and Pearl Street. Officials say that the police officer was chasing after a speeding car when a second car pulled our in front of the officer.
In order to avoid hitting this vehicle the police officer swerved and then collided with the parked car. The chase occurred on State Highway 164 when the officer tried to stop a man that was driving 47 mph in a 30 mph zone.
